Here’s the bad news – Stephen King won’t live forever. Neither will James Patterson, John Sandford, Nevada Barr, Harlan Coben, or any of my other favorite best selling authors. Even if they did, they wouldn’t be able to write and publish fast enough to satisfy my reading appetite. I’ve had to broaden my search for new authors to read.

Here’s the good news – There are a lot of talented authors out there whose work is flying under the radar. You may not have noticed because Amazon and other sites are also repositories for absolute crap, the sort of writing that would have earned a “C-” from your 8th grade English teacher back in the days before grade inflation and dumbed-down curriculums. Sometimes you have to wade through crap before you find the good stuff.

There are two authors you should be reading right now because they know how to write the good stuff:

Judy White – Do you love warm, cozy mysteries with vibrant characters from a bygone era? Do you miss Sam Spade, Philip Marlowe and Mike Hammer? Do you ever wish you could go back in time? Judy White’s mystery series featuring Sam Flanagan is just the ticket. I’ve read all three of her books and am looking forward to the next one. Find her on Facebook and then go to Amazon to purchase her work. You’ll be glad you did.

Danney Clark – Do you like history? How about novels and short stories? Mystery? Suspense? Christian inspiration? Danney Clark writes with energy and passion. His eclectic body of work offers something for everyone. Check him out on Facebook and Amazon. I think he’ll become one of your favorite authors.
